REPORTING FROM MEXICO: The narco war spread to the tourism resort of Cabo San Lucas, Baja California this weekend as the Mexican Marines along with state authorities faced "sicarios"

(professional gun men) on the streets and in a shopping mall.

As the "sicarios" were being cornered they entered a shopping mall in a last ditch effort to avoid capture.  It was earlier reported that some hostages were taken, but the military denied those rumors.  However, the military did issue a statement informing the community that one of its own had fallen in the line of duty.

For those that are unaware, Cabo San Lucas is a major port of call for tourism ships visiting Mexico from the United States and other nations.
