REPORTING FROM MEXICO: The SEDENA (Secretaria de la Defensa Nacional) or the Department of National Defense announced that a second military base will open in San Fernando, Tamaulipas this year as the war against the Zetas and other cartels has intensified in the last few months.
Our readers will remember that San Fernando will forever be remembered as the place where 72 bodies were found dead a year ago, mostly Central American illegals that were transiting through Mexico on their way to the American dream.
This area of Tamaulipas is so submerged in organized crime whether by Zetas or other cartels that Government has found a need to open a second military base.
The base will house:
1. 599 soldiers
2. 48 officers
3. 49 transport vehicles
These soldiers are part of the 105th Infantry Batallion.
