A school with no walls, no desks, no electricity, no boards and no restroom in Yucatan, Mexico

REPORTING FROM MEXICO:

Mexico is not a poor nation by a long stretch.

Mexico is within the top 15 nations in the world in Gross Domestic Product.

Mexico is one of the top fifteen oil producing nations in the world.

Mexico has one of largest reserves in dollars in Latin America.

The idea that every Mexican is poor is like suggesting that every American is rich, but then you come across a school in Yucatan that brings us back to reality.

The name of the school is FRANCISCO I. MADERO and it is located in Transcorral in the state of Yucatan. It is a school with no walls, nothing overhead to protect the students, no desks, no boards, no electricity, no water, and no bathrooms.  The students use the wall, which you can appreciate in the picture above, as their desk.

Adding insult to injury, the school has not received its daily rations of milk and cookies for the children.

I would understand this scenario if Mexico were a Banana Republic but it is one of two Latin American nations with a GDP surpassing the TRILLION DOLLAR MARK!

So what is wrong with this picture?

Distribution of wealth and corruption.

When I see things like this, I simply believe that Mexico should start all over again as a nation, maybe this time they can get things right.

EL DIARIO DE YUCATAN posted the following story about this school in mention. The name of the article is called, "School only by name"
